Dibs first heard about the scene while reading about The Moldy Peaches. He then saw Barry Bliss and The Babyskins open for the Peaches and came to Sidewalk to see them all play. After that he became a regular at The Antihoot and began getting gigs there with his various groups including: Dibs and Sara, Dibs on Joie, Cheese on Bread and Huggabroomstik.

Why he's Antifolk

The desire among so many people to come up with a product instead of an original artwork drives me crazy. On the Antifolk scene I've met artists that are always growing, and creating songs in order to stretch boundaries more than necessarily conforming to what they think the audience might want.
